Don't Insult Jesus

Dear Friend,

Christmas may be over, but the celebration doesn’t stop at the manger. While everyone reflects on the birth of Jesus, I want to ask you to sit with something deeper—why did He come?

Yes, “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son” (John 3:16), but love didn’t stop at salvation.

Part of His love was about regifting you your authority.

Jesus didn’t just come to make things right between you and God. He came to restore what was stolen in Eden. When Adam and Eve lost dominion, we lost the authority to operate fully in the earth. But because of His love, God made a move to hand that authority back.

Thankfully, the birth of Jesus was the beginning of that restoration. To be clear, His life wasn’t just a rescue mission—it was a setup for empowerment because through His death and resurrection, He handed the keys of the Kingdom right back to us.

Let me say it like this:

  • Jesus didn’t just save you; He authorized you.

  • He didn’t just walk the earth to perform miracles; He came to show you what you’re capable of through Him.

  • Every healing, every sign, and every moment was a picture of the life we’re supposed to walk in.

“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” (Luke 10:19)

Let's think of it this way: His birth was the deposit, and His death paid it in full.

Now, imagine buying someone a life-changing gift, only for them to leave it sitting unopened. That’s exactly what happens when we don’t walk in the authority Jesus sacrificed for.

You know that cross wasn’t cheap.

It cost Him everything.

The best way to honor Him isn’t just to reflect on His birth—it’s to use the gift He handed you.

As we prepare to enter 2025, keep this in mind: Your prayers aren’t empty, and your decrees aren’t casual beause every word carries the weight of Heaven.

So as we close out the year, ask yourself:

  • Am I really walking in the authority Jesus died to give me?

  • Have I left His gift half-open?

  • How can I step deeper into my authority in 2025?

No matter what you see, you’ve been authorized to shift the atmosphere.

Jesus didn’t just come to save—He came to empower.

Merry (day after) Christmas. Don’t insult Jesus by letting the gift sit unopened.
