Be More Productive In 2025

The month of January has flown by so fast! Where is time running to? With that said, how prepared are you for 2025? The year is still young, and it’s not too late to implement tools and strategies to help you succeed.

While there’s no pressure here to have monthly or quarterly goals because you may not have a full view of the year ahead, you can take control of the 24 hours you have right now. Learn how to number your days because life is brief, and every day is not guaranteed.

Refuse to be that person whose day happens to them. Don’t let your day slip away from you.

Take charge of your day. Command your morning. This is an age-old principle that demonstrates discipline.  In Job 38:12-13 (NLT), the Bible tells us that God commanded the morning to appear and caused the dawn to rise in the east.

Silhouetted grass and birds at sunrise with a colorful sky in the background. The mood is serene and peaceful.

Think about this literally for a moment. God is so meticulous that He spoke and gave the sun instructions. Every day, without fail, the sun obeys this command to rise from the east. If this order weren’t in place, we’d never have food because photosynthesis depends on sunlight; your skin would be ashy, and your bones would be brittle. The list of what could go wrong is endless.

Just as God sets the sun’s course (and by extension, the day), we can also set the tone for our day. To be more productive in 2025, here are seven easy and practical tips to command your morning:

  1. Pray & study the Word. Honor the Lord by giving him at least the first hour of your day. Commit your plans to the Lord, and He will establish the work of your hands.

  2. Cultivate a positive mindset by speaking kindly to yourself to build your self-esteem. Avoid negative talk.

  3. Have an action plan for success. Create a prioritized to-do list to help you better manage your time and resources. Start with the most essential tasks and work your way down. This will help ensure that you stay focused on what truly matters.

  4. Plan your day efficiently. Use the SMART method to set clear daily goals.

  5. Revisit your action plan. Sit still and review it for 10 minutes in the middle of the day. Be flexible and make changes as circumstances evolve.

  6. Have an accountability partner who will help keep you in check as you develop this habit of commanding your morning.

  7. Reflect on your day for 10 minutes before you sleep. Celebrate your wins and note any challenges or areas for improvement.

In 2025, we’re all about doing. Remain focused and committed to seeing the vision through one day at a time. Success builds on the small, consistent steps we take every morning.
